What up Southwest Florida! You have thousands of palm trees, miles of some of the world’s best beaches, some scary ass alligators, and now you’re stuck with me! Eric “The Funky 1” is the radio name but you can just call me Eric or “E”. The "Funky" part of my name stands for my love for all music, especially EDM aka Electronic Dance and House music. Don't get it twisted Ladies...I ALWAYS smell good! I was born and raised in San Francisco, Cali and started the radio career there in the Bay Area at WiLD 94.9 (KYLD), then spent some great years at 102.5 KDON in beautiful Monterey, then back to KYLD, a stint at 99.1 KGGI in Riverside, have run a couple nightclubs living the rock star nightlife scene and now have made the move across the country to sunny Florida which has always been a second home to me. Now I’ve made it my permanent home and looking forward to spending every weekday afternoon 2p-6p with you on 105.5 The Beat Southwest Florida's PARTY Station and also serving as The Beat’s Program Director working with such a talented staff!
You can listen at work on 1055thebeat.com, or from anywhere on your mobile device with the iHeartRadio app!
A little more about yours truly...I'm half Puerto Rican, half Salvadorean with nothing but love for everyone! I’ve heard that I have a great personality, good sense of humor, very mature, intelligent, always have a positive vibe, confident, and a smart ass...I say "Wow, all that? I just think I'm a smart ass!" Besides all things Pop Culture, and Entertainment like music, movies and TV, I'm a big sports guy so I’ll see you at the games! Just over a month after upset neighbors successfully forced the singer to remove graffiti monsters from the side of his Hollywood Hills home, he created a few more — this time, on his $90,000 Porsche.
While it seems Chris was fairly pleased with his artwork, his currently on-again girlfriend, Karrueche Tran, looked more shocked than impressed when she first discovered Brown's latest canvas.
She posted a photo on Instagram of herself perched on the hood of the luxury, cartoon-covered sports car with the caption, "this is what the f*** I come home to lmao this n**** man." In the snapshot, though, she's pouting more than laughing.
Still, a few monster cartoons on the side of a car — which was also photographed by X17online — that costs more than most people make in a year wasn't enough to deter the model from joining her beau on a romantic getaway, which it seems the singer sorely needed.
Just a few weeks ago, Brown suffered a seizure at the Record Plant recording studio in Hollywood, which his team blamed on severe stress and fatigue caused by the "constant onslaught of legal matters." No word as to whether those legal matters included The Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety forcing him to paint over the "artwork" he had added to the side of his house, however.
