Legendary singer and actress Whitney Houston died Saturday afternoon in California, her publicist Kristen Foster has confirmed. Sources say a member of Whitney's entourage found her unresponsive in her room at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. She was 48 years old.
TMZ reports paramedics were called and police arrived to the scene at the Beverly Hilton within minutes, but Houston was unresponsive. CPR was administered but attempts to revive her were unsuccessful, and she was pronounced dead at 3:55 PM. There were no signs of foul play but a full investigation has begun.
Whitney Houston will be missed.
